Weber Shandwick Brussels has won the grand prize at the Belgian IBIS Awards; the Belgian team was honoured with the IBIS Golden Communication Award for most integrated campaign with FELIX Purina Miaou-Mat campaign which rang across Belgium in August-September 2013. The Golden IBIS is the third award for Weber Shandwick and this campaign. The team was awarded a Sabre in May and a Golden Stevie International Business Award in August.
The IBIS Awards are organised biannually in Belgium by the Corporate Communications Community (3C) and the Belgian PR Consultants Association (BPRCA) to showcase the best communications campaigns in the local market. The Golden Communication Award trumps the five main categories (Corporate Communications, B2B, B2C, Non-profit and Personality of the year) and honours the best communication campaign that succeeded in adopting an integrated approach and including various communication disciplines.
In awarding this honour to Weber Shandwick, the IBIS judges highlighted the agency’s “amazingly creative multi-disciplinary integrated campaign” in addition to the campaign’s outperformance of its targets. The inter-agency collaboration and close workings with the FELIX Purina team were highlighted also.
“We are delighted to win this Golden IBIS award,” said Annick Boyen, CEO of Weber Shandwick Benelux. “We have already won two international awards for this campaign, but receiving recognition from our industry peers within Belgium is a fantastic honour. The Felix Purina Miaou-Mat Campaign generated incredible results both offline and online for our client and we are particularly proud of the campaign results.”
