Daniela Negri

Director, Health Policy

Based in Brussels and with over 13 years’ experience, Daniela is a healthcare communications and EU health policy expert, specialising in EU funding and lobbying, network and multi-stakeholder healthcare project coordination, patient group activations and campaigning.

Since her appointment in 2012, Daniela has managed a number of environment policy focused projects. She has positioned Weber Shandwick as the go-to agency for the newly established European Reference Networks, a European Commission initiative that connects centres of excellence specialising in rare diseases, with the aim of improving diagnosis and access to treatment at European level. She has also lead successful integrated policy and advocacy programmes, including the #Breathing Hope Campaign, which led to the adoption of a Written Declaration in the European Parliament and was nominate for an European Excellence Award in 2017.

Before joining Weber Shandwick, Daniela worked at the Brussels liaison office for Italy’s Veneto region where she coordinated a network of regional authorities active in the healthcare field. Daniela’s client experience portfolio includes healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, trade organisations and umbrella patient groups.

Daniela holds a Masters in International and Diplomatic Science from the University of Bologna and an MSc in Health, Community and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is an Italian national, fluent in English and French.
