Sheila has worked in public affairs and communications for six years and has been at Weber Shandwick for more than four, specialising in pan-European and international work. She is a Weber Shandwick client relationship leader and has worked across the network in Brussels, Geneva, London and Seattle.
Sheila has driven programmes for clients as diverse as Lockheed Martin, Nestlé, Accenture and Shell and has built considerable experience working on media-driven issues management programmes. Shortly after joining Weber Shandwick in 2005, Sheila went to work in-house for the British retailer Tesco, where she advised the Board Secretary on EU affairs. Sheila recently ran a global citizenship campaign for Yara International which won a European SABRE award in 2007.
She previously worked for Women and Development, a Copenhagen-based non-political advocacy organisation and started her career in communications as a press officer at the United Nations Information Centre in London.
Sheila graduated from the University of Bergen, Norway with a Master of Philosophy degree in Media Studies and also holds a Master of Arts degree in International Political Economy. She also received her Bachelor of Arts in Modern History and Politics from the University of Sheffield. Sheila is Danish and speaks a number of Scandinavian and Western Balkans languages, as well as English.
