Climate change tops citizens’ concerns across Europe, and this is impacting how governments, businesses and commentators talk about the climate crisis. In December, the COP25 in Madrid and the EU Summit in Brussels will be major platforms to determine how all parts of the economy will join forces to build a decarbonised future.
One day on from the (anticipated) publication of the European Green Deal, we will discuss how EU Institutions talk about climate, the value of public engagement and the opportunities this presents for businesses for consumer, employee and policy engagement.
Join us for the third event in our Climate Talks series – “Let’s Talk About Climate: Responding to a New Climate Discourse” – for a stimulating panel debate bringing together thought leaders who have broken the mould in how they articulate the challenges and opportunities of climate engagement.
Thursday 12 December
- Jo Sullivan, Senior Sustainability Advisor, Weber Shandwick (moderator)
- Tina Zournatzi, Head of Strategic Communication, European Commission, DG Communication

The debate will take place from 11am-12.30pm, followed by lunch and discussion.
