Annick Boyen, CEO of Weber Shandwick Benelux, has been selected to join the jury for the Cannes Lions Awards at the upcoming 64th International Festival of Creativity. Established in 1954, Cannes Lions is a global campaign for creativity, with the Festival as its epicentre. The Awards are recognised globally as the ultimate achievement in branded communications.
Annick will join the jury for award entries within the PR category, which rewards creative work that builds trust and relationships, influences public dialogue, or helps enhance brand reputation. Speaking about her nomination to the jury, Annick said: “It’s an honour to have been chosen to join the PR jury for Cannes Lions. The work shown in Cannes is synonymous with creativity which has a far-reaching impact, from boosting business success, to driving social progress and global change. These awards are recognised as the best in class when it comes to communications, and I’m really excited about playing a part in rewarding the most creative, ground-breaking work.”
Annick will join five other jurors from Belgium; Pieter Staes (These Days), Promo – Shortlist jury; Davy Caluwaerts (ZenithOptiMedia), Media – Shortlist jury; Catherine Hermans (Happiness), Direct – Shortlist jury; Katrien Bottez (Famous), Cyber – Awarding Jury; and Patrick Dooms (Sonicville) – Radio (Awarding Jury).
The 64th International Festival of Creativity takes places in Cannes from 17 to 24 June 2017.
